This function works both for headphones (using psychoacoustic 3D to simulate a three dimensional ‘soundstage’), and true 5.1 / 7.1 output from any compatible audio card to a surround sound audio system placed in-situ for the benefit of the end user.

Buzz 3D’s proprietary InfiniteComplexity™ engine is a key differentiator. Uniquely, offering the option of creating a highly detailed representation of the real world which less powerful systems have to fake by using 2D photographs in place of genuine 3D content. Buzz’s ability to avoid such fakery makes the entire scene look genuinely realistic, requiring little in the way of leaps of faith from the consumer as they interact with the 3D space. Furthermore, the fact that even ‘clutter’ products are modeled to the same degree of care and attention applied to ‘real’ products within the simulated environment, means that all products displayed have a common baseline of quality, and thus any results from consumer visibility testing/research will not be skewed as a result of compromised quality levels of non-critical components.

And for when a completely freeform experience becomes too wide ranging, we have a number of pre-scripted capabilities that we can introduce that will subtly guide consumers along certain pathways without them feeling constrained, or limited. These range from the simple placement of barriers to indicate restricted passage, to 3D staff members who intercede to turn the consumer away from the restricted area. This same mechanism can also be used to deliver automated presentations, opening a product to display its contents, or the mechanics by which it functions.

Quick and Easy 2D Planogram Builder - automatic conversion into 3D

All 3D environments are created using a 2D planogram methodology, allowing layouts of products to be assembled or updated with full audit trail and undo/redo functions very quickly and easily using our dedicated drag-and-drop interfaces. Once completed, the Planogram can either be used in its 2D state for any forthcoming research trial or visualization, or you can press the 3D button, and have the data converted to three dimensions and placed in the designated environment for full Virtual Reality deployment.

Buzz 3D can also simulate concept supermarkets, in which products are actually marketed to the consumer as they go through the supermarket – video, audio, textual information or even complete presentations of particular products can all be accommodated within the Buzz 3D framework. Any multimedia can be linked to any product for display on-screen upon selection, or on special ‘plasma screens’ throughout the supermarket (available depending upon your architectural preference for a 3D environment).

Buzz 3D FootStep™ User Metrics - record and analyze user actions and behavior

Buzz 3D FootStep™ is an optional module best suited to situations where consumer behavioural analysis is paramount. FootStep™ records user metrics to disk in real time to be recalled like an action replay at any later date to either re-live the consumer’s session, or run mathematical functions against in order to collate behavioural statistics. Capable of both internal stats calculations and outputting data files to 3rd party packages, FootStep™ details where a consumer went in the store, which direction they were facing, at what time, the items of interest on view during that process, which items were selected for closer scrutiny, how they were manipulated, whether or not they were added to the cart or put back on the shelf, and whether they were zoomed in on for high detail viewing. Eye tracking hardware can also be linked in to the recording system, making it possible for Buzz 3D FootStep™ to add to its recording options the ability to identify whereabouts on-screen the eyes of a consumer were looking, and integrating this with the core user metrics which are saved as part of the FootStep™ data file, providing a far more accurate picture of the consumer’s psychology during the selection and browsing process.
